When in IE9 Standard Mode, and Browser Mode IE9, it fails most of the time. When in quirks, IE7, or IE8 mode, it works. Also, it renders correctly in Safar and Chrome. Another element of the problem is that it only fails when there are lots of rows (perhaps 400). One of the rows will render wider than the rest. It seems to consistently be row 310. This is very wierd. I change the data, but it is still that row, even when the data changes. Occasionally, it will work. When it does, I have compared the source using F12. It looks the same to me. Both a header table and the body table have column widths explicitly defined. When I look the the row that is bad, it has the correct data. This feels like an IE bug. Help! dave Continue reading...
