If you were to meet me in person....

View attachment 2398

The first thing you would notice, besides my formidable unibrow, is my "fukk off" look. I can't help it...if I don't know you, I'll level you with a gaze that practically shouts "back off, *******!". My best friend says it scares people off because they think I'm totally unapproachable.....which I am! It must be hereditary because my niece and nephew have the exact same incredulous look.

My overall demeanor is cool and aloof...icy, if you will. This makes people assume I'm a real snob, but I'm not. It just takes me awhile to warm up to folks. Some I never warm up to, but it's usually for good reason.

When you first talk to me, I'll be relatively quiet. That's because I'm mentally adjusting to my surroundings, listening to every word you say, observing your body language, and assessing you to determine whether I should put you in the "friend" or "foe" category.

Once I determine we could very well be friends, I'll relax a bit and pick up the pace in the conversation. I'll still be reserved, but not as bad. Then we'll order some shots and I'll soon become my usual silly, irreverent self. Most likely we'll be singing, dancing and possibly swapping underwear before the break of dawn.

................

How do you come across when you meet new people?

Quiet, shy, and I tend to occasionally stutter my words and avoid conversation. Once I get a groove going though, I'm non stop sarcasm, yapping, and humor. Not very political (I can only do that when I type), but highly opinionated and sarcastic about my immediate surroundings and situation.

I am somewhat reserved. I open up more in groups of three or more where I can **** in on the conversation of others. I don't do small talk..

Bender - Quiet and shy? That surprises me! I thought you would be a pretty confident guy from the get go, even bordering on cokky. Huh!

hugo - I kind of figured you for a reserved guy who doesn't say much unless it's important...lol. But I bet you loosen up a wee bit after a few beers. ;)

snaf - I picture you as being warm and open from the start. You seem like you'd have a very inviting personality.

RO - I can see you bouncing around like a Mexican jumping bean. Energy, energy, ENERGY!!!! And yes, naked.

If I had a nickel for every time I've been told, "Man, when I first met you, I thought you were going to be a REAL *****!".....

...I'd buy you all a pony. Except eddo. I'd buy him a high class ***** for the weekend.

Ali loves me bestest. :p

For me it depends on the crowd. I am usually the one making everyone laugh, but in a room full of completely new people, I am one of the last to speak up. But give me one or two peeps I know, and I can get going pretty quickly.

But I usually pass out as soon as the stripper arrives...

It's true!

Really? I figured you for the guy who would be the first to break the ice. I bet once you get going, you're a real card. Especially when you giggle....it's infectious! Tee hee!

But I usually pass out as soon as the stripper arrives...
Pity! Now I feel like the ***** would just be a waste of money... :p

I am a warm and nice person to everybody I meet. I would probably stumble with my words though as I have a tuff time talking to pretty women.

I am a little of both.

My sales side is developed to easily mix with people I don't know and Public speaking is something I have become good at. But, I have a more private side that I do not share easily.

In that way I can seem very outgoing and vocal to a point, but getting to my personal side requires me to feel trust, and trust is earned, not given.

It depends on my mood and the people. I'm usually quiet and mostly observe, unless I really click with someone and feel comfortable.

I don't do small talk, chit-chat, very well. I usually have to have something to say before I open up - and then I say what I'm going to and shut back up. I have to know a person for a while and develop a history with them. For me, groups are ideal - I can sit and listen, then chime in on occasion.

I'm usually better one on one or really small groups. I'm really curious about people so I will ask a million questions. Sometimes personal questions or what others are thinking, but won't ask:p

Emy would have me talking like a bumbling idiot. :p
Awww blush

In person....shy and quiet, until I get to know you. I blush a lot...which is humiliating, but extremely frequent. My wit is acerbic...and overall dry. However...even if I'm uncomfortable I'll talk to avoid uncomfortable silences. I'm good at smoothing things over when people are uncomfortable.

I envision you as dominating a conversation. Probably the sales mentality in ya.

I kind of figured you to be a bit standoffish at first. For some reason, you seem a little shy to me. :)

But I bet when you do have something to say, it's worth hearing!

I think when you and I meet we are going to get along just fine from the start. After all, we're soulmates!
