I'm experimenting and want your opinions

I've got a 2GB iPod, which was (until quite recently) about half filled with Linkin Park stuff. I deleted all of the stuff off of that iPod, because I want to listen to something else. Here's what I've got on it so far, and now I want to know what else you think I should put on there based on these tracks. This is only about 5% of what the thing can hold, anyway. You can include other songs from these bands if you want, too, but I'm wanting to keep it varied. No country, though. And nothing about pimps or sex, or getting my dick sucked because I don't really need to hear it in some thugged out rap song because I can experience it in real life. That doesn't mean, 'don't suggest rap.' I'm open to the suggestive but not vulgar rap of the early 90s, and artists like 2Pac, etc. Just, no sex.

I think that's enough to go on. But I'm really wanting to experience some different music, I love LP but man they're seriously starting to bore me. So, whatever you've got. Preferably with an iMeem link, if you've got an iMeem account. That way I can look it up and listen to it before I commit to downloading it somewhere.

Thanks guys!

EDIT - I'm willing to experiment a bit more with industrial, trance, electronica, brit rock, prog, indie, any blends of any kind of music and stuff like that.

1st bands i thought of based on your list are "trapt", "madina lake" and "story of the year"
will name some more later but i cant acces my music list since my pc is ****ed and i dont have much on my laptop

sorry I don't have imeem or any really good links but here's a few recommendations:

aesop rock - gold ol' rap, nothing about booty as far as I know
at the drive-in - best post-hardcore band I've found, very emotional, extremely energetic, especiall live
capricorns - instru-prog-metal
cornelious - some form of weird pop, and other genres as well
eric b and rakim - old school rap pioneers
fugazi - hardcore punk? as well as other varieties
m83 - electronic
mice parade - slaphappy instrumentals I guess, lol
mogwai - post-rock, alternative rock?, electronic
mono - post-rock, instrumental
the national - indie rock
opeth - progressive death metal to progressive rock with all sorts of influences. hardcore heavy melodic, basically all over the place
pelican - instrumental metal or occasionally post-rock
stereolab - indie rock
65daysofstatic - fuse math rock with post-rock, very beautiful at times, very spastic at others. from time to time they cross into some sort of techno. it's one of those bands that are unlike everything else

hope you can dig some of this

Okay, so far I'm addicted to 65daysofstatic. But I've only heard "I swallowed hard / Like I understood," so if you've got any specific songs in mind, let me know. I haven't had time to check the other ones, but a few of them you guys listed are familiar to me, and I forgot. Haha, so I'll listen to more of them.

I basically recommend listening to anything by them, albums, EPs, B-side collections
