Kickin' Ass and Takin' Names

Guest
A few weeks ago, a raving rightwing lunatic named Gary Hubbell wrote
an editorial that was circulated by the rightwing propaganda machine
and appeared in all the usual outlets, published as though it were a
simple comment by a concerned individual. The article, titled "Angry
White Men," raved and ranted about how hard-working, family-loving,
gun-toting, flag-waving white men were being screwed by everyone who
can screw them. The article claimed that these white men are very,
very angry and they are going to show that anger in the November 2008
election. All the usual rightwing noisemakers repeated the "angry
white men" claim, citing Hubbell's article as though it were a
revelation from god.

Then -- a few days ago, Senator Obama pointed out that a lot of
working people are pissed -- "bitter" is what he said -- because they
are being screwed by everyone who can screw them.

In about a nanosecond, both Hillary Clinton and all her rightwing
friends climbed all over Obama and his "bitter" remark.

HOWEVER -- Obama said EXACTLY WHAT GARY HUBBELL SAID -- and you
rightwingers lined up to praise Hubbell while cursing Obama.

Now, maybe one of you rightwing Republican lying pieces of dog ****
can explain to me why it's okay for Hubbell to say people are angry
but not okay for Obama to say the same thing???????

That's a valid point. I didn't think Obama's comments were that far
off the mark, either. People get fed up with the system and they fall
back on certain issues because that's "home" to them, and Obama was
saying you can't change that if you're just another insider. I
thought he made a fair point, he just didn't say it very well. He has
since cleared it up.

Very nice.
Great post.
