Just to let all of you know, I'm going to try once again to go smokeless.

The cold turkey variety. So: I apologize in advance for anything really

nasty and it out or order with my "typical" nasty (this means joking) **** I

normally spew into this place. If I say something that really offends,

please just let it fly over your head and attribute it to nicotine

withdrawal.

And I really step over the line, let me know in a serious way and I'll

step back from teh flonk for a few days.

I hope you understand and forgive any transgressions in advance and I

sincerely I don't go too far.

I will sincerely do my best to be the "regular" me, for what that's worth.

Thank you for your time.

You'll just gain twenty pounds and start smoking again . . . .

I mean, the very words of your announcement don't exactly inspire

confidence.

But, if you must put yourself through this, a half-hearted choice, try

getting in a bunch of apples or something.

Anyway, if you start going on about blood or knoxy or something-- odd and

a little unsettling how this development should coincide with the Manson

motif, eh?-- I'll just plonk you for a month or so, not permanently as is

my usual method.

The ill effects of smoking are gruesomely exaggerated by the Tobacco

Warriors, and AAMOF for a ten-cig-a-day habit or less there're no

statistically-significant impacts at all.

As for the pretenses of "second-hand smoke" causation of anything, they're

laughable (all percentages of succession-- what percent of the time the

alleged effect follows the alleged cause-- below one percent, nowhere near

the one hundred you would expect in real causation).

i usaully make this advance kind of apology when summer looms. i, too,

smoke. cold turkey isn't as tasty as it sounds. i'm just trying to cut

back. hopefully to 5 a day. my plan of action is to only smoke around

those "assumed" smoking instances. like in the morning, or during ***.

another good time to smoke is when on a treadmill or when minor

surgery is being performed on me. if i can cut back to only these

times, then i don't have to quit. smoking itself in doses is not THAT

bad. it's the packs a day and such. i think.

I don't suspect it will be a problem. Most likely, I'll just get moody and

pretty much keep to myself and not post at all. I am on my last pack, atm,

with about half of them left. That should put me running out sometime

tomorrow.

Have you considered trying to be organized about it instead of

impulsive? If you wean yourself off the cigs methodically, by precisely

metering your intake, it's not nearly so unpleasant.

My dad was a shrink with a very specific method of weaning people from

cigs. The last step was to go down to five per day - after meals, first

thing in the morning and at bedtime. Then you just hold it there

indefinitely, and eventually you'll realize that you don't even need

those five any more. Then you'll just spontaneously quit completely.

I'm only smoking about six or eight right now. At this moment, I have about

10-12 in the box. I'm getting anxious, already. Shows the mental component

of withdrawal rearing it's evil head.
