Inability to delete posts

I have found that while I can edit my posts, I can't delete them.

Is this a permanent and/or deliberate feature of the site?

Edit is ok delete is off. I did this because of some abuse.

That's cool - so long as I'm not the only one

It's off globally. No one can delete posts except admins.
