_Star Trek_ sucks. From the first series on. So too _Star Wars_.

I'm not even sure what the last decent serious sci-fi movie I saw was.

Maybe _John Carpenter's The Thing_? And even that was a remake (a great

one, admittedly) of a movie on a cliched theme, the polymorphic alien

invader (which should be on every troll's must-see list).

bong-bongk- bongk bong-bongk bong-bongk-bongk . . . .

A great Winter/New Year's movie, anyway.

I bought that movie at a boot sale a few months ago.

Sadly such a momentous work of art won't sell on eBay for love or money

(not that I will accept anything other than money).

It is a sad state of affairs when some teenage holiday movie starring

Marie and Ashley Olsen (or whoever they are) sells for $5 and "Being

John Malcovitch" won't sell at all for any positive dollar amount.

We live in a sick sick world.

It is clear to me what the Star Trek franchise needs: moar Christian

Slater. He totally should be playing Bones. Or even Kirk.

How lucky am I to be married to a gal who likes Star Trek, South Park,

and Doctor Who, and who asks for power tools for Christmas?

I'm so disappointed. Only one item I would be interested in except for the

fact 1) I already own it and 2) the media you want me to buy is in an

outdated format.

Too bad that so much of the series' best moments were lost in a fire.

I personally like the Charlie Chaplin Doctor the best. Well, other

than Tom Baker, of course. The one saving grace of the Ninth Doctor

is that Billie Piper is one of the most highly doable companions ever.

Doctor Who also has the second best theme music in television history.

HERETICK! i guess i can say that 'cause i was only a wee youngster

when i saw sci fi on tv that wasn't dr who back in the early 70's. as

for starwars. the phantom menace and the other two films are complete

*****. i, sadly, saw part one at the cinema and was, for, i think,

the first time in my life tempted to walk out on a film i'd payed to

watch!

i saw the original for the first time, now only just, last year. i

knew about it and never had the chance to watch it until i found

somone had posted the dvd image to some binary ng. i liked the

original and the remake (OR HOW ITS NOW CALLED 'REVISIONING') is a

really good film.

that'd be becasue its a good film, well made, has a story of sorts and

they where not lost in a fire. the tapes where whiped to be reused.

there are litteraly loads of pages about the missing epps. occasionaly

a missing one turns up, but not often enough. the beeb is kicking

itself in the ***** hard for destroying all the epps and ones of other

series during its purge back in the 70's. can you believe they thought

noone would ever want to see all that classic tv again????? short

sighted *********.

my fave was the one before tom baker. i hated baker for a long time

when he first became the dr.

its funny. when she was an incredibly irritating chipmonk lookalike

'pop star', i really couldn't stand her. 10 or so years later she is

probably the cutest companion since jo back in the early 70's.

>Doctor Who also has the second best theme music in television history.

second? what is the first? start trek or the prisoner? oh. or the

avengers?
