lol, in high school Free Enterprise class we had to come up with a product and then market it and "sell it" to the other classes. our idea (and this was 1990) was a walkman style radio that would run off of solar panels while you were out jogging. Decent idea, but no one really was interested. They already had a portable stereo, and batteries were cheap enough- we were set to flop.

Till we reworked the marketing.

Our "portable stereo" became

Solar

Energized with

X-tra bass

^^and that is exactly how we advertised it. Out of 5 Free Enterprise classes, our portable stereo was the 3rd highest "selling" item. The teacher was impressed at how we turned our project around, and our use of advertising.

I got an A. :)

*** sells, no surprise there. I can't say I am happy at how it is more open these days but I guess each generation is always trying to shock the older generation.
