iTunes.exe - Bad Image - ksuser.dll is not a valid Windows image

When I try to open iTunes, it will not open and the following error message

is prompted:

DDE Server Window: iTunes.exe - Bad Image The application or DLL

C:\windows\system32\ksuser.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check

this against your installation diskette.

What can I do to correct this problem?

Scott

Windows version? Is this a sudden, new problem or an ongoing one?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What

anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall

(if any)?

Sudden, within the last few days.

I use AVG Anti-Virus. I do have Windows Defender. I stay current on all

security updates -- Windows and AVG. AVG performs a thorough scan each

night. Windows Firewall is always on. I do not have a third party firewall

provider.

FYI.....I added additional RAM to my computer last week, and I downloaded

Apple's Safari. Not sure if this matters, but these were changes to my CPU.

Thank you.

Doesn't sound like a security-related issue, Scott. Try posting in WinXP

General newsgroup or an iTunes forum instead.
