I've been concerned about this since the campaign...

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5Igvv9zogk]YouTube - Barack Obama: Your Children Should Learn To Speak Spanish[/ame]

Even though the President himself, doesn't speak a second language...

?I don't speak a foreign language. It's embarrassing!? Barack Obama exclaimed today at town hall meeting here. Obama, who often touts his time growing up overseas, made the confession while speaking about the importance of teaching foreign languages in schools.
Obama: ?I don't speak a foreign language. It's embarrassing!" | From The Road - CBS News

I've been inspired by President Obama and have decided that my children will learn a new language...

At a news conference afterward, Obama said his debut on the international stage had convinced him that ?political interaction in Europe is not that different from the United States Senate,? where he served before entering the White House.
?There?s a lot of -- I don?t know what the term is in Austrian -- wheeling and dealing, and people are pursuing their interests, and everybody has their own particular issues and their own particular politics,? he said in response to an Austrian reporter?s question.

In fact. It's a brand new language, invented by President Obama, just yesterday.

I'm having trouble finding Austrian on Rosetta Stone, though.

learning another language is not the same as having a second American language. We should make pig Latin the second language. I think that would make more sense.

Chinese as the second official language is the more logical choice, seeings how their gonna own at least a 51% stake in our land and resources anyway.

facepalm Ok, so, little lesson for ya...

They speak German in Austria. Well, if we look at what dialects are, and how they're different between any given language, then you would see what he's talking about. Hey, guess what, Australians speak English. Most people would go "Well, yeah." Except, you know, the whole slang thing they have going on that NOBODY else understands...

Aussie salute : brushing away flies with the hand

******* : term of endearment (not in my English :O)

Exy : expensive

Icy pole, ice block : popsicle, lollypop

To name a few. ****, even Ebonics is "English"...sort of. Native English speakers understand it...sometimes. But most people I've talked to who speak English natively consider Ebonics a language in and of itself. So saying "IDK what it is in Austrian" is like me saying "IDK what 'I need to go take a ' means in Ebonics." Probably something like "I needa squat a *****" or something.
