JayZ calls out Oasis

I'm with Oasis on this one, Glasto's not a place for rap! The general line-up of the festival was quite **** this year overall anyway; Amy Winehouse eww! It's funny how so many of the audience are singing along to it, bet he didn't get half that many singing along to one of his own songs :]

you are wrong on this..i saw the whole performance and the audience was totally into it.

Same with Lupe Fiasco.

People just got to accept Hip Hop.

Noel Gallagcher says a lot of things, so much so I don't remember how to spell his name, hes such a **** that no one listens to him, he always says something like this before his band is set to release a new album and no one gives a toss. Though JayZs comeback was good.

Neither one of them are really that good...but I will side with Jay because what the Noel Gallagcher said was very unprofessional...and Jay Z has at least 3 songs I like (and there not with LP)

If it's not a festival for hip hop and rap keep the hip hop and rap away from it. I don't know a lot about the festival but from what I do know... JayZ doesn't belong there.

I am pretty over JayZ and Oasis have kept me behind them even after all the **** they have said and done. I used to think of JayZ as the best rapper but he fell so low after a while. Oasis have great songs that I've liked since I was a kid so yeah.

^close-mindedness IMO

It may not be a hip hop/rap festival, but its not specifically a rock festival either. Regardless of what acts theyve had in the past (I dont really know who, but the impression I got was mostly/all rock) the Glastonbury seems to call itself a "Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts" and Jay does fit into that category... thus if they wanna throw him I dont see why not. (And it seemed to be fine, crowd appeared to enjoy themselves.)

As far as Noel's commments... well it sounds like hes just always a ****... buy Jay's response wasnt the most mature either. (Though it was quite funny how bad his singing was.)

People just need to let it go... so what if Jay was there? Its close mindedness like that which hinders the growth of music... There's nothing that suggests Jay-Z couldn't play there accept a choice group of people, and I probably wouldn't be taking music suggestions from those people anyway. The crowd itself seemed to accept it so WTF? lol.

I personally laughed when Jay-Z did one of their songs... who the **** talks about Oasis these days anyway?
