First time I watched Jon Boat fight I knew he would be unstoppable. Watching him man handle Every fighter he has gone against has been impressive. Dont see him losing to Evans either!

Same here. Nowadays there isn't really any interesting fighters. No more excitement. Jones is a bad *** though. He is fun to watch. They have to be losing money/interest. look at all the free fights they have now.

maybe you are loosing interest because there are no white champions???.................lol jk but i hope jones loses not sure he will because as we see in the middle weight division Anderson has dominated for years an it has gotten so borring an i would hate for that to happen in the light heavy weight division

i dont see jones losing this one either. its gonna take a guy like cain velaquez to beat jones. someone that will be able to get inside his reach and grab him.

i used to follow ufc alot but since the merge with wec theres just too many fighters to follow. too many ppv to order and too many fighters. ive lost track and i cant see myself ever getting back into it.

Yeah, I don't think Jones will loose either. I feel they he is in a league of his own in the light heavyweight division.

all the old school guys are retired or getting beat up and should retire. my 2 favorites were chuck liddel and wanderlei silva, chuck is retired and wanderlei should have retired already. guess vitor belfort is the only old school fighter still doing good. i like anderson silva, the guy is soooo good he makes everyone he fights look like they dont know how to fight.

as for the jones vs evans im thinking evans will get embarassed. im not really a jones fan though, he doesnt have any defining skill set, his striking is sub par but everything put together makes him very hard to beat.

i trained/fought amateur mma from 06-10

I didnt think so at all. Jones simply worked him, dude can come at you from anywhere at anytime.

first 2 rounds were good evans landed some punches i was sure would fold jones but he took them jones has some nasty short elbows ill give him that but the way he was fighting was just plain boring all the hand holding just made it boring imo i think if jones wouldnt of been so scared of evans he could of finished the fight easily.

I think Jones style of fighting is entertaining and different from any fighter out right now. But I do agree that there are fighters that once they reach the top, they loose their hunger. For example Georges St Pierre, when he was coming up he was a beast, he was aggressive and always looking to finish his opponent. As a champ he is boring and predictable. You know he is going to go in and use his wrestling, take you down and hold you down. Now he fights to win and not entertain.

I love MMA. I have been a fan since 1993. These fighters have come such a long way since then. I know a ton of the newer fans got spoiled in the early to mid 2000's when it seemed like every fight was a knock down drag out affair. I like many other fans have trained in either jiu jitsu or some other form of boxing or martial art and when we watch the fight we can catch a lot of the little things going on in the fight that some fans dont see. The new breed of fighters have grown up as true mixed martial artist and they are just beast. I always have friends over for the fights and I would say 90% of them start saying how boring a fight is as soon as it hits the ground or in the 4th and 5th round when the pace slows. I used to be bothered by it. I now just tune it out and enjoy all aspects of a fight. I loved the jones/evans fight.

i understand what u are saying an the ground game is a major part of mma i dnt mind a fight going to the ground as long as the guy on top doesnt just lay there an actually trys to forward his position not just lay like a dead fish....as far as the jones evans fight i just felt that both fighters were scared of being knocked out by the other an wouldnt commit to engage fulls i think jones could have finished evans on several occasions an to meall the hand holding an controling of evans hands was pretty boring an he should have went for it. i think most of the card was pretty bland seemed like the match maker didnt do to great of a job............slowly but surely im converting back to a boxing fan an would rather pay to see the boxing matches an not MMA
