After installing KB2718704 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2718704 I noticed my computer became sluggish.

So I went to the Event Viewer, there are hundreds, if not thousands of events over the past few hours associated with certificates!

About half are:

Level: ERROR
Source: CAPI2
Event ID: 4107

Failed extract of third-party root list from auto update cab at: <http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootstl.cab> with error: A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against
the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file.

WIDE variety of app certificates etc...

Event IDs: 10.11,30,41,50,51 etc etc

I will not even go into the "Details" section right now. Each one is unique and they seem to be about everything in the system!

What is wrong with my system and what can I do about this? (Aside from rolling back to an old restore point and hiding the update...)

Thanks much in advance!
