Kerry, Lavrov hold marathon Syria talks

US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held marathon talks in Geneva on Friday for an expected push towards resuming peace talks for war-ravaged Syria. Asked during a break how the meeting was proceeding, Lavrov responded: "Excellent". After a long day spent mostly behind closed doors, it was unclear whether anything had been agreed or if the two powers were readying to make an announcement about a possible path forward to ease the devastating crisis in Syria.
