Read story at http://www.newsmax.com/ Title Kerry Touts Bush Impeachment Memo

Failed presidential candidate John Kerry said Thursday that he intends to confront Congress with a document touted by critics of President Bush as evidence that he committed impeachable crimes by falsifying evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

"When I go back [to Washington] on Monday, I am going to raise the issue," Kerry said, referring to the Downing Street Memo in an interview with Massachusetts' Standard Times newspaper.

"I think it's a stunning, unbelievably simple and understandable statement of the truth and a profoundly important document that raises stunning issues here at home," the top Democrat added.

Citing the Downing Street Memo, former presidential candidate Ralph Nader called for an impeachment investigation on Tuesday in an op-ed piece published by the Boston Globe.

"It is time for Congress to investigate the illegal Iraq war as we move toward the third year of the endless quagmire that many security experts believe jeopardizes US safety by recruiting and training more terrorists," wrote Nader with co-author Kevin Zeese. "A Resolution of Impeachment would be a first step."

Kerry and the left suck turtle dicks! Political division tactics of a minority to transfer the thought of what have you done for me lately or the thought of what the **** have you done period?

Democrats hate losers and Kerry is a loser!

Bullshit, George W. Bush single handly made me into a DEMOCRAT. This guy should be IMPEACHED, charged with HIGH TREASON, and EXECUTED.

He gives Republicans a bad name, hes taken away MANY Libertys with just the Patriot Act alone. He has ensured that the United States of America lays in a POLICE STATE. He flat out LIED about reasons to go after Saddam.

If the people if IRAQ, had wanted to be Liberated, then the SECTARIAN difference alone well outnumbered Saddams forces. They did not need help from America, nor did they ask.

It just amazes me sometimes, how people can have this HATRED (and rightfully so) of extremists, yet somehow let this same fire of hatred misguide them into believeing the words of George W. Bush.

Its like 2 guys slugging it out on the street, the bigger guy kicks the **** out of the littler guy because he knows where his partner who had pissed him off and cheap shotted him once, is hiding, then, in a turn of events, someone (George) tells this bigger guy that another person is talking smack too. Being still enraged, the big guy doesn't really think too much about anything but going after the other mother ****er, with no real proof of anything... Just rage in his eyes...

Abu Ghirab, Gitmo, you name it.. All the great injustice to Muslims we hear about from soldiers, are NOT fueled by the premise of Liberty to Iraq, but by the HATRED of BIN LADEN, and the events of 9/11.

You don't see thses guys ****ing pissing on a Koran because of something SADDAM did, or for any crimes against IRAQI'S. Its focused hatred on MUSLIMS !! When it should have been focused on BIN LADEN AND ONLY BIN LADEN.

Why else would the commander in chief allow Bin Laden to excape from Tora Bora ?? If he had captured / killed the mother ****er then, he knows damn well, for the most part... the war would be over. So instead of bringing in more troops and killing the son of a bitch, he changed the mission and directive to somewhere not even close to where Bin Laden was.. his excuse... they might wanna kill us too, but we must set them free... YEAH BULLSHIT !!

For one thing Saddam would have had to create a VERY LONG RANGE WEAPON... CAPABILITYS HE NEVER HAD... also, do we ever hear anything about IRAQ having nukes being built ??? Surely there is lots of concern over North Korea and Iran... things they openly admit... yet NONE IN IRAQ... This was a FLAW in Bush's stroy of WMD, along with the chemical weapons. Does anybody recall the first couple of days going into IRAQ ?? Soldiers were issued chemical masks for fear of Saddam releasing gasses on the troops... what REALLY happened... they expended what couple SCUD missles they had towards Kuwait, which were batted out of the sky by our military. The army, for the most part... GAVE UP.

It is only after STAYING there, did an INSURGENCY come about. Not because these people despise Americans, but because they simply want there land to themselves, and not dictated by another country... Kind of like the REVOLUTIONARY WAR fought by our ancestors many centurys ago.

Tensions run high in Iraq, and an insurgency grows because of this same belief, that is supposed to be the message of LIBERTY, we should be sending them, when truely to be free and liberated, we must not let others control us. What is Liberty, if someone else is making sure you follow it ??

Saddams army, as it were... is gone. A new one formed, surely the insurgents do not outnumber, or have better weapons ??

And what are the demands of these insurgents who want us all dead..
What do they scream and proclaim every time..

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE LEAVE, WE DON'T WANT TO KILL YOU, BUT WE WILL..PLEASE LEAVE, PLEASE LEAVE !!!

AND THIS CRY GROWS LARGER AND LARGER EACH DAY, BY PEOPLE WHO WANT TO JUST LIVE THERE LIVES, AND WHO HAPPEN TO BE MUSLIM !!

Its a ****ing quagmire.

If I heard an insurrgent say even ONCE that the reason they are killing someone is just because they hate America, then I would say... NUKE THE ****ING MURDERS... But thats not what they scream and proclaim. They just want to live there lives.

Like I had stated in another post. Liberty is not something you DEMAND of others. Liberty is something we fight for on our own. Putting a false sense into our troops heads that they were WANTED by Iraq by proclaiming they wanted a Liberation, is UN ****ING AMERICAN.

This mother ****er who killed MORE PEOPLE as a Governor of Texas then any other, is a sick demented ****. He is using his higher office power to kill even more people. And worst of all, in case nobody has noticed, AMERICA, is NOW one of the most HATED countrys in the world.

No, I'm sorry, this ****er needs IMPEACHED, CHARGED WITH HIGH TREASON, AND EXECUTED. For crimes against AMERICA , and LIBERTY.

Amen Phreak Amen!.....

I found this great site searching around...and found a summary of it...here it is

1. Honesty
Bill Clinton was impeached for lying about his sex life. George Bush is applauded for overthrowing two governments (three, if you count Haiti) based on deception. He lied about the threat of Iraq, he lied about the cost, and he lied about the expected outcome. He lied about the purpose of his tax cuts, he lied about education, the environment, energy, and his own past. He lied about the cost of Medicare. Everything he says is choreographed to achieve political gain without consideration for the truth. In Bush's administration, truth takes a back seat to power every time.
2. War
History will not be kind to George Bush. In two years he overthrew two governments, and has his eyes on several others. He has ignored the UN, the US public, and 90% of the rest of the world, including millions who protested in the streets. He has violated the US Constitution and international law by attacking Iraq when it was not a threat to anyone. In his empire-building march across the Middle East, he has wasted the lives of thousands. History will wonder why no one stopped him.
3. Economy
As soon as people saw that Bush might get elected in 2000, the economy started to fall, helped by Bush's talk of recession. He, of course, tried to blame Clinton. Since then, the economy has dipped in and out of recession, a million jobs have evaporated, deficits are soaring, and Bush's only response is to cut taxes for the wealthy. Every few months he promises that jobs are just around the corner -- if Congress will only approve my tax cuts -- but month after month job statistics give substance to the lie. Bush seems bent on destroying the very institution he heads.
4. Liberties
Yes, we need to catch terrorists, but we don't need a police state to do it. John Ashcroft has shown no concern for personal liberties, only for catching the "bad guys." Is it really necessary for the government to know what books you read? Is it necessary to read your e-mail? Must librarians be gagged? This slide toward Fascism is as scary as anything else Bush does. And rather than scale back the most egregious aspects of the act, Bush wants to make it even more intrusive.
5. Taxes
No one likes taxes, but we all pay them in hopes that the government will provide the services we need and want: schools, highways, bridges, and security. Bush, like Reagan before him, intends to choke the government down to size. By cutting taxes, primarily for the wealthy, deficits soar and nothing is left for education, the environment, social programs (including Social Security) or necessary regulation of corporations. After spending $800 billion a year (by independent estimates) on a bloated military, there is no money for books, no money for highways, not even money for the soldiers who must fight his wars. There is no money. But schools must remain open, roads must be repaired, and the sick must find treatment; all this is left to the state and local governments, which are now raising taxes, firing teachers, and cutting services.
6. Environment
One of his first acts as president was to raise the allowable level of arsenic in drinking water. Since then, we have seen a continuous assault on the forests, the air, the water, and the land. Global warming threatens to wreak havoc on our economy, our food supply, and our social fabric, but Bush only listens to the scientists on the political right, and they see no reason to panic. Don't worry, be happy.
7. International Relations
When you're the strongest nation by a factor of ten, you don't need to play nice. You can be a bully, and if other countries don't like it, too bad. Under Bush, we've seen this arrogant attitude regularly. He walked away from Kyoto, from the land mine treaty, from the international women's rights treaty, and the international criminal court. He ignored the pleas of long-time allies to avoid war, insulting them childishly. It will be decades before we can regain the respect of the world.
8. Secrecy
This is the most secret administration in memory. Decisions are clearly being made by corporations and far-right interest groups, but Bush refuses to admit it or to say who is behind such important policies as energy. Government can only be trusted in the sunlight, and this government hides at undisclosed locations.
9. Military
We spend more on our military than the rest of the world combined. While most of us appreciate the sense of security a strong military brings, we also question the wisdom of such spending when we have no clear enemy. Iraq was overthrown for about $100 billion. We spend four times that every year on the military. And now Bush wants to build a magical missile shield that no one believes will actually work. Oh, it will cost many billions, and a few select corporations will get rich, but meanwhile we have other needs, desperate needs, that are not being met. We don't even have health care for all our children. We can't even provide breakfast for all our children, or books, or decent schools. But we can kill bad guys better than anyone. And if Bush has his way, we will soon be dropping tactical nuclear bombs on them.
10. Corruption
The line between corporations and the government has disappeared during the Bush administration. Corporations give money to elect Bush, then Bush forms policies and rules that favor those same corporations. This is nowhere more evident than in the energy industry, which has sent millions to Bush in the form of campaign contributions, then received billions in return. Think Bush, Cheney, Bechtel, Halliburton, Schultz.

We will have peace in this country when Bush is dangling from a gibbet for the sport of crows.

As far as I am concerned, the people of Iraq do not deserve to be free. All they have ever known is tyranny and oppression. Who are we to take away their Allah-given right to live in fear? They are not grateful, they are not kind to Americans, and they will never be free. The US needs to cut its losses and pull out.

**** those ****in' camel jockeys... we have enough problems over here in the USA.

What we went to Iraq for has NOTHING to do with the reason's given by this Lying president and his cronies. The Downing Street Memo's are proof positive that the intelligence was fixed to support the lies told, as well as the notion that Bu$h wanted to use our military to take down Saddam prior to 9/11. It dosen't surprise me to hear some try to change the subject and divert attention away from the truth by claiming that somehow Kerry did something wrong. This is an issue is that EVERYONE need's to pay attention to regardless of what party you identify with. So far nobody in the US Government or the UK has denied the validity of this memo, and untill they do we need to support an investigation. Go here to send a >>>>>>>>> Letter

No one man can make a democrat you have to be either born one or brainwashed.

How has the Patriot Act affected you personally?

We never went to Iraq to free anyone we went there to make an example and I think the neighborhood is taking notes.

The war was a just war, the war was because Saddam invaded Kuwait remember? We established a cease-fire based on REQUIREMENTS agreed to by Saddam and his government. The hostilities restarted partly based on poor intelligence not only from our government but most in the world. It just doesn

Phreak... You turning into a democrat is not an impeachable offense.

He gives Republicans a bad name,
Again this is not a high crime or misdemeanor... if he pisses enough constituency, the republicans will loose power (The good thing about democracy)

hes taken away MANY Libertys with just the Patriot Act alone.
The patriot act was edicted by decree of the president, it was passed legislatively by both houses of cogress (Even your goofy Kerry voted YES)

He has ensured that the United States of America lays in a POLICE STATE.
Conjecture... and even if it is true, it's not an impeachable offense. The checks and balances of the judicial branch are supposed to keep this from happenning.

He flat out LIED about reasons to go after Saddam.
More conjecture, If he did lie... He did not do so under oath as your damnable Clinton did, which of course is an impeachable offense.

If the people if IRAQ, had wanted to be Liberated, then the SECTARIAN difference alone well outnumbered Saddams forces.
Then they deserve to be treated heavy handedly.

They did not need help from America, nor did they ask.
Uhmm, yes they did... remember the shiite rebellion in 1991?????, The Kurds in northern Iraq???? Oh, How our memories fade!

It just amazes me sometimes,
It amazes me how goofy you are, Phreak!

how people can have this HATRED (and rightfully so) of extremists, yet somehow let this same fire of hatred misguide them into believeing the words of George W. Bush.
This is the first intelligent thing you've posted! All words of everyone should be weighed and measured before acceptance! .

No, I'm sorry, this ****er needs IMPEACHED, CHARGED WITH HIGH TREASON, AND EXECUTED. For crimes against AMERICA , and LIBERTY.

Nothing you've stated here that GW as done is impeachable! Grow up and vote your conscience if you don't like him, but don't advocate something stupid like impeachment just because you disagree (an impeachment is for "high crimes" and "misdemeanors" not "I don't like you").

Articles of Impeachment

of

President George W. Bush

and

Vice President Richard B. Cheney,
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, and
Attorney General John David Ashcroft

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from
Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and
Misdemeanors. - -
ARTICLE II, SECTION 4 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

President George W. Bush, Vice President Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald H.
Rumsfeld, and Attorney General John David Ashcroft have committed violations and
subversions of the Constitution of the United States of America in an attempt to carry out with
impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes and deprivations of the civil rights
of the people of the United States and other nations, by assuming powers of an imperial
executive unaccountable to law and usurping powers of the Congress, the Judiciary and those
reserved to the people of the United States, by the following acts:
1) Seizing power to wage wars of aggression in defiance of the U.S. Constitution, the U.N. Charter and the rule of law;
carrying out a massive assault on and occupation of Iraq, a country that was not threatening the United States, resulting
in the death and maiming of tens of thousands of Iraqis, and hundreds of U.S. G.I.s.

2) Lying to the people of the U.S., to Congress, and to the U.N., providing false and deceptive rationales for war.

3) Authorizing, ordering and condoning direct attacks on civilians, civilian facilities and
locations where civilian casualties were unavoidable.

4) Threatening the independence and sovereignty of Iraq by belligerently changing its
government by force and assaulting Iraq in a war of aggression.

4) Authorizing, ordering and condoning assassinations, summary executions, kidnappings, secret
and other illegal detentions of individuals, torture and physical and psychological coercion of
prisoners to obtain false statements concerning acts and intentions of governments and
individuals and violating within the United States, and by authorizing U.S. forces and agents
elsewhere, the rights of individuals under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Amendments
to the Constitution of the United States, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the
International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

5) Making, ordering and condoning false statements and propaganda about the conduct of foreign
governments and individuals and acts by U.S. government personnel; manipulating the media
and foreign governments with false information; concealing information vital to public
discussion and informed judgment concerning acts, intentions and possession, or efforts to obtain
weapons of mass destruction in order to falsely create a climate of fear and destroy opposition to
U.S. wars of aggression and first strike attacks.

6) Violations and subversions of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, both a
part of the "Supreme Law of the land" under Article VI, paragraph 2, of the Constitution, in an
attempt to commit with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes in wars and
threats of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and others and usurping powers of the United
Nations and the peoples of its nations by bribery, coercion and other corrupt acts and by rejecting
treaties, committing treaty violations, and frustrating compliance with treaties in order to destroy
any means by which international law and institutions can prevent, affect, or adjudicate the
exercise of U.S. military and economic power against the international community.

7) Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering
indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without
opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the
discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant."

8) Ordering indefinite detention of non-citizens in the United States and elsewhere, and without
charge, at the discretionary designation of the Attorney General or the Secretary of Defense.

9) Ordering and authorizing the Attorney General to override judicial orders of release of
detainees under INS jurisdiction, even where the judicial officer after full hearing determines a
detainee is wrongfully held by the government.

10) Authorizing secret military tribunals and summary execution of persons who are not citizens
who are designated solely at the discretion of the Executive who acts as indicting official,
prosecutor and as the only avenue of appellate relief.

11) Refusing to provide public disclosure of the identities and locations of persons who have
been arrested, detained and imprisoned by the U.S. government in the United States, including in
response to Congressional inquiry.

12) Use of secret arrests of persons within the United States and elsewhere and denial of the right
to public trials.

13) Authorizing the monitoring of confidential attorney-client privileged communications by the
government, even in the absence of a court order and even where an incarcerated person has not
been charged with a crime.

14) Ordering and authorizing the seizure of assets of persons in the United States, prior to
hearing or trial, for lawful or innocent association with any entity that at the discretionary
designation of the Executive has been deemed "terrorist."

15) Institutionalization of racial and religious profiling and authorization of domestic spying by
federal law enforcement on persons based on their engagement in noncriminal religious and
political activity.

16) Refusal to provide information and records necessary and appropriate for the constitutional
right of legislative oversight of executive functions.

17) Rejecting treaties protective of peace and human rights and abrogation of the obligations of
the United States under, and withdrawal from, international treaties and obligations without
consent of the legislative branch, and including termination of the ABM treaty between the
United States and Russia, and rescission of the authorizing signature from the Treaty of Rome
which served as the basis for the International Criminal Court.

Kerry did nothing wrong. He expressed his personal OPINIONS about the war and you know something, HE'S ****ING ENTITLED TO so go shut the **** up!

Committed atrocities? You mean murdered people in their own country at the request of a lying snake President, just like G.W. Bush is doing to our soilders in Iraq now?

2: they are killing people in that country to, so its not murder, its protecting the innocent, and themselves
3: do you have any idea how ****ed we would be if Bush was not president?

The Iraqi military operation was passed by congress as well as the executive branch, "Seizing power" would at least mean circumventing congress.

2) Lying to the people of the U.S., to Congress, and to the U.N., providing false and deceptive rationales for war.
If proven, maybe... Lying is not a "high crime or misdemeanor" unless under oath.

3) Authorizing, ordering and condoning direct attacks on civilians, civilian facilities and
locations where civilian casualties were unavoidable.
This is just plain stupid... war is hell.

4) Threatening the independence and sovereignty of Iraq by belligerently changing its
government by force and assaulting Iraq in a war of aggression.
With the full cooperation of congress... This is what war is all about!

4) Authorizing, ordering and condoning assassinations, summary executions, kidnappings, secret

prisoners to obtain false statements concerning acts and intentions of governments and

The constitution does not apply to foreign nationals on foreign soil.

Impeachment? it is a war.

6) Violations and subversions of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, both a

First of all ... **** THE UN!... They are not the US and laws of the US apply to the US, the UN laws do not apply to the US.

7) Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering
indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without
opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the
discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant."
suspension of "habeous corpus" is SOP for all wars.

8) Ordering indefinite detention of non-citizens in the United States and elsewhere, and without
charge, at the discretionary designation of the Attorney General or the Secretary of Defense.
.... same as above... why is this a separate point?

9) Ordering and authorizing the Attorney General to override judicial orders of release of
detainees under INS jurisdiction, even where the judicial officer after full hearing determines a
detainee is wrongfully held by the government.
same as above...

10) Authorizing secret military tribunals and summary execution of persons who are not citizens
who are designated solely at the discretion of the Executive who acts as indicting official,
prosecutor and as the only avenue of appellate relief.
Duhhhh! Military courts ALWAYS have jurisdiction in combat zones!

11) Refusing to provide public disclosure of the identities and locations of persons who have
been arrested, detained and imprisoned by the U.S. government in the United States, including in
response to Congressional inquiry.
... habeous corpus, again in times of war is suspended... habeous corpus does not apply to enemy combantants anyhow.

12) Use of secret arrests of persons within the United States and elsewhere and denial of the right
to public trials.
more of the same 5 points that are part of the suspension of habeous corpus. Why didn't the US impeach Lincoln, Roosevelt or Washington? Because it is legal!

13) Authorizing the monitoring of confidential attorney-client privileged communications by the
government, even in the absence of a court order and even where an incarcerated person has not
been charged with a crime.
All part of the "PATRIOT ACT" which was voted on by congress! Kerry voted "YES"

14) Ordering and authorizing the seizure of assets of persons in the United States, prior to
hearing or trial, for lawful or innocent association with any entity that at the discretionary
designation of the Executive has been deemed "terrorist."
more of the patriot act...

15) Institutionalization of racial and religious profiling and authorization of domestic spying by
federal law enforcement on persons based on their engagement in noncriminal religious and
political activity.
Not criminal. (maybe it should be... but as of yet, it is not)

16) Refusal to provide information and records necessary and appropriate for the constitutional
right of legislative oversight of executive functions.
Not only is this stupid, it would be illegal for the legislative branch to excersize power over the executive.

17) Rejecting treaties protective of peace and human rights and abrogation of the obligations of
the United States under, and withdrawal from, international treaties and obligations without
consent of the legislative branch, and including termination of the ABM treaty between the
United States and Russia, and rescission of the authorizing signature from the Treaty of Rome
which served as the basis for the International Criminal Court.
.
.
Not true, but if so... it would require approval of congress.

That cry baby Kery is just itchin to find a way to **** America.
Maybe he has the same problem as C.E.S dose after coming back from WAR!
Go ahead speak you

And the Patriot Act is just about the only thing we have left to combat this political correctness that is corrupting our Nation!

I despise Kerry for his false bullshit. When he teamed up with Jane Fonda he was still a reserve commissioned officer appointed by congress. She is a traitor and so is he! There were just too many canceled weekend passes because Kerry and Jane were going to protest Fort Bragg. Training for war was diverted to train for crowd control and riot control. Vietnam was not a valid reason for engaging US troops but once engaged we should leave with nothing less than victory. Thanks to Kerry and Jane the Vietnam memorial is a wall of shame, a registery of death for nothing. One of the key Vietcong generals spoke out after the war that if it wasn

OK, let me be the FIRST to admit I suck at political debate. But, I will say this.

I do believe in Impeaching the president, but the guy who is leading the charge to do it, is the wrong guy. This I can at least agree on. Like I had said before, the guy is too far left for me. And I also see him wanting to Impeach, almost as a sign of poor sportsmanship in the election. And I'm sure others would view it the same way. Bush was voted on by a majority. It wasn't REALLY a close race at all. Although he may have lost some support NOW, I'm sure a majority still think he should be our President.

I am also NOT against war at all. North Korea...NUKE EM.. Iran, NUKE EM.. TALIBAN/Al Quada, NUKE EM...

The problem I have, is when a country we go to war with is, for the most part NOT our enemies, then INCREASE there number of enemies because we are there, something is WRONG.

You could blame it on other extremists coming in from other countries to keep Iraq in turmoil, but it still doesn't matter. You need to go back to the initial justification of the war and see if the same philosophy still holds true. And, in this case, IT DOESN'T.

I'm not gonna argue that congress ultimately agreed on going in. DUH.. or that John Kerry also supported going in. But it is the FACTS of the situation that were presented to congress to make them vote in such a manor, that to are me... grounds for impeachment.

If we were to have a round table of GF members, and Bob was the CHIEF of the members, and he said we needed to kick, oh we'll say Royal Orleans out, because he had heard R.O. was part of a rouge league of BBS users who RAPED BBS boards for fun, and we all agreed on just Bobs word alone. But then come to find out, this was not at all true.. WHO DO YOU BLAME ??

You blame the guy who come to you with all this alleged proof, and you blame his staff who's job it is to confirm this proof.

THIS is how I feel George Bush USED congress to get what he wanted.

Anybody noticed were not hunting TERRORISTS in IRAQ anymore... WERE JUST HUNTING INSURGENTS.

Insurgents, who would have never been there, if we just pulled out when what we were looking for, was proven not to be there.

And I for one am sick of hearing anything like "OH, BUT THERE STILL MIGHT BE SOMETHING, WE NEED TO STAY THERE TO FIND IT" bullshit.

Let IRAQ handle its own problem now, our job is done.
