Latest Cumulative Security Update fails to install, and MS Update continually promts to...

MS update fails to install the latest cummulative Security update with a generic error code. Quick search did not reveal any obvious solution. MS update just turns around and keeps prompting to install the same update, which fails again. Any help on getting around this would be fantastic, as its getting quite frustrating:(

Running Windows 7 Home premium SP1.
