Crowder learns he won't need translator in London

Maybe he was joking, but gregarious Dolphins linebacker Channing

Crowder confessed today he didn't know until Tuesday that people spoke

English in London.

Crowder, a former Florida Gator and Atlanta native, apparently isn't

sure where the plane is headed when it takes off this afternoon for

Sunday's game against the New York Giants in Wembley Stadium.

"I couldn't find London on a map if they didn't have the names of the

countries," Crowder said. "I swear to God. I don't know what nothing

is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that.

"I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a

football camp together. So I know him. That's the closest thing I know

to London. He's black, so I'm sure he's not from London. I'm sure

that's a coincidental name."

When reminded Dolphins practice squad receiver and NFL Europe veteran

Marvin Allen is from London, Crowder's standup routine didn't miss a

beat.

"He's from London?" Crowder said. "I knew he was from over there

because he talks funny. I was surprised (when they met) because - I

don't want to say he didn't look the part because that's a stereotype

- but he didn't look the part. I heard him talk, and I thought he had

a recorder and was just mouthing."

Dude, seriously...he's having some fun with you guys. That's Channing.

He cracks his own jokes that only he gets to laugh at.

Here are some facts about Channing. He scored a 30 on the wonderlic.

He was a member of the National Honors Society in college. He had a

validated 3.5 GPA at University of Florida, and I believe he graduated

early.

Seriously, he was making fun of you guys.

Oh my GOD!!! How retarded can he be? Dude, my 10 yearold son can show

If thats true he is a smartass. I love smartasses, but with the luck

this team has been having it wouldn't be surprising to find out some

of the players are slow upstairs to, not jst on the field.

Keep your profanity to yourself. I happen to know that nobody

graduates from University of Florida with a 3.5 GPA, not even an

athlete, majoring in basket weaving or being just a "dumb jock".

In reality, you come across as a heck of a lot more uneducated and

ignorant than Channing Crowder does. Channing is just a smartass.

don't make outlandish statements to sound like you know what you're

talking about. you probably have some moron friends that couldn't pull

a 2.5 and you're judging the entire school by that. they have an

honors program that requires a 3.5; are you going to tell me the

program doesn't exist now?

Hey eleiser you should stop talking about things you don't know about.

I graduated 2005 from UF. I was in the top 10% of the class and I had

a 2.8 GPA. So if there was people with a 3.5 or higher it was very,

very few. And they probably cheated because I was quite clearly the

smartest kid there.

this may explain why joseph went to florida state. crowder attend

florida but i'll bet his biggest accomplishment was being eligible to

play. Maybe he thought london was in poland.

I see eleiser has problems with reading comprehension.

The claim was that even being a jock or majoring in "basket weaving"

does not mean you will easily pull a 3.5, not taht nobody at all ever

gets a 3.5. And it's entirely correct, unless you can name which UF

major it is that gives everyone As.

Uh, CK, not to pile on or anything, but the National Honor Society is

for high school students, so if Crowder really was in the NHS in

college, that might tell you something about how bright he is. And if

he wasn't, that might tell us how bright you was..ooops, I mean are.

Seriously, bragging about a 2.8 GPA at a third-rate state school is

pretty darn hilarious.
