Linkin Park: Download Festival - who went?

I did! I also remember speaking to a couple of people at Billy Talent who also went, the girl was an LPUer. If you're reading this, the song you liked was "Sympathy"

Anyway, here's some small details about the show:

-Phoenix has new hair, a black mohecan (spelling?)

-Phoenix plays Mike's black and white LP guitar during LOATR

-Chester and Mike were stunned halfway through the set before playing a song by a very low flying plane, as the mainstage was so close to Derby airport

-Chester gave a shout out to Motley Crue. He said he really wanted to watch them, but he can't have everything at once

-I may be late at noticing, but Brad has a (to my awareness) new black guitar.

That's all I can remember, any questions will surely be answered.

Attempted to bootleg, but at Download, they searched you individually at the barriers so I had to go all the way back to my tent (2 1/2 miles) to put my MP3 player/recorded back, then come back to catch the rest of Slayer, who was just 2 sets away from Linkin Park.

I can only reply when I am in College, my computer at home is broke for an unknown reason, come back from Download and it's ******. >.>

I do believe a member of this forum took a photo of Chester at this. I think she said she took 4 disposable cameras worth of photos at LP.

Nah, I wish I had gone though. At the time it didn't seem right forking out £140 lol.

I've heard from someone who went that th show was awesome though, great atmosphere with the crowd really into it.

I was gutted that they weren't webcast too... ******* Warner. Maybe something will show up though...

Man, the bottle fights were ******* AWESOME! I got hit countless times but it was worth it - except when they **** in the bottle, Cider was a different story! :p

The boobies thing was hillarious! It mainly happened before Bowling For Soup, but it was more before LP. It started with a women with a cowboy hat who refused to get hers out, everyone was boo-ing her, then the camera went to someone else who did it, and went all accross the crowed, cheering and boo-ing, then the girl with the cowboy hat finally did it and some woman who was very sexual during it, they loved her. THEN they turned cams away as they started to, everyone shouted (in sync) "awwwww".

So funny, even before LP was an experience!

I love bottle fights! They are a UK traditon in festivals

Im lookin forward to the giant pillow fight at reading =D
