One new song for June and PR please god. They have from March to mid-June to turn out ONE song. They did QWERTY in like 2 days flat. QWERTY live was a masterpiece. Come on LP throw some dope shit down for us :D

holy crap that'd be so amazing lol

Yeah but if they have one new song for us, it better be a more heavy one

They should finish Grecian, lol

IT MUST BE HEAVIER CAUSE IF IT AINT HEAVIER IT WONT BE GOOD

thats what u all sound like, 1 dimensional fools, if they do progrssive jazz I dont care as long as its good.

Delete my account, the is no reason why it should be against standard procediure, do it do it do it.

Or LPF Sessions 3 leaks before it's done and Spoilers will be posted for every film release. Not to mention periodic troll invasions.

They should really get out of their shells and really do some crazy shit. Rob always can bust out some chops and fills and stuff, but when he's in the studio, even on The Little Things Give You Away, which was Rob's original idea (Drum Song) to begin with, he still played very conservatively and to the point. Set the groove.

Just an example I noticed because I'm a drummer. I also noticed that Given Up had a total of 3 different guitar grooves and nothing else, etc. etc. etc. If something is different, fit it in and make it work. They pissed me off by deleting the scratching that was already recorded because then they tried to marginalize their sound and put it into a box. It didn't fit into X genre so they removed the turntables.

It couldn't have just been "well, I don't think it'll fit in this song," and Joe wouldn't have recorded any to begin with. But he did, because he obviously thought they'd fit.

Just making examples. I hope they're a bit more free on this album.

Amen to the fullest extreme!

Thank you! I firmly believe if Linkin Park really cut loose with their stuff, we would have something equating very much what I've been trying to create with my music. An amalgamation of Tool, Coldplay, Aphex Twin, 65daysofstatic, and those other bands that I like, to bring together the same principals of bringing shit together and making it work... but bringing in new colors to paint that picture with. New mediums to throw it into, new lights, etc.

Take your standard Linkin Park idea, and brad's got a freakin' sweet guitar riff going on. Mike says, "dude, try this, try to repeat that twice, but take off the last count and just go right back into it" and he does, and it sounds bad ass. It's an odd time signature, and then they build a song around that. Why not!? They aren't musical dumbasses, they know what they're doing.

I honestly think, and this is not wishful thinking at all, that the next step in the evolution of their sound is bringing together the best of progressive rock and the best of trip-hop / electronica. Let the new influences come. Am I wrong?

Minutes to Midnight was a relatively bland, but necessary step in their evolution. We got some softer stuff going on. We got a little bit more freedom going on. We got some longer songs going on. Rock on. Awesome. Let's kick that 6 minutes up to 8 minutes, throw some extra sounds in there, and for God's sake, man, if you've got an idea, run with it!
