Live mail says incompatible application how can I fix it?????

simply put I was in my live mail about a month ago and it glitched and I lost half of the information that is permanent on the page. example: you could tell in the background that the different emails and callendar was there but couldn't get them to show up (just faintly there). Called Dell tecks and they cannot fix it either. Have called MS and told to go on line and after reading miles of pages nothing. I keep thinking I could just uninstall and start over but this didn't work as it still is the same and when the tecks on line at dell are confused and ms doesn't offer any help ......well......you get the idea. You sold it, we bought it, now tough. I hope this is not so but as of November ms now offers less and less bodies on the phone and less help as some of the things you offered are now not offered except to pay for. Sometimes talking to a person is best because understanding comes different to different folks. With me it has to be real simple as I had a stroke a long time ago but it played havock on my long term memory and short term means that you can read it but comprehending all of it is next to impossible. I even went to the windows office professional outlook but am not happy with it. NOW ALL I HAVE TO DO IS IF YOU ANSWER THIS IS FIND OUT HOW TO FIND THE ANSWER. I went thru a lot of reading to get here. TRYING TO SUBMIT MY QUESTION HAS POSED ANOTHER PROBLEM THE select one topic .....my topic is not there.....I simply have a problem within MICROSOFT ESSENTIALS MAINLY WINDOWS LIVE.......
