Okay, seriously mods and admins of the site...what is the deal with the chat service. Either NOBODY uses it EVER! Or there's a technical problem, or my computer has a fault ( which isnt likely cause I have Java) or it isnt up and running...please help. I 'm tired of Green Day's chatroom...

I dont think its working as i become a chat operator whenever i join which means you just created the channel yourself and its non exsistent.

Its just that theres never anyone in there.It has been down a few times in the past, but it appears to be up and running at the moment. :thumbsup:

If its up and running then thats really cool. But why no one ever goes in there is like a real mystery. I think chatrooms are cool. Here's some encouragement PEOPLE OF LPF...TRY THE CHATROOM SOME TIME!!!

You're gonna laugh at this but I didn't even realise it was there! I'm not kidding.

The truth is after a year or so of being in here, despite the odd few changes, as a member I'm kind of familiar with things and really it's just force of habit. Maybe that's the chat's downfall. It's not prominent enough. A hotlink or something saying who's in the chat on the homepage ALONG with the general who's in the forums would probably help that. Just a thought. Now that it's been brought to my attention I might go check it out again... but Lyson's made the perfect point. What's it there for if no one ever uses it? More chats for idle banter might lessen the load on the general boards... maybe?

Just thinking aloud is all.

With the latest interest in trying to lure more people to the site why not try and utilise the chat room in some way for those of us already here? I don't think the gallery's seen a bit of action for a while neither... hmm.

the same thing I get it to sign me in and a chatscren or whatever it's called never let's me in it just shows some stuff to do but nothing else

I'm in there RIGHT NOW just testing the theory... see if anyone else remembers it's here! *lol* It's awful quiet but. Just me and the chirping of the crickets. There was a bit of an issue logging in to the room - maybe you've just got to persevere... and obviously if people are having trouble getting in then that's something else that needs to be addressed.

If everyone else is relying on AIM and MSN etc what's the point having this up? Isn't it like wasting bandwidth space or something? Maybe it needs to be utilised or shut down either way... again, thinking aloud. Personally I'm not technically minded at all so I dunno how it all works but I'd like to see this up and running at full potential. Bring the LPF chat to the people. Keep your members as well as try to lure more in. Win-win I say. Hehe.

Yeah that is a good idea but

I just realised somethings wrong with my computer XD

it just does the samething it does on yahoo pool

It sais error on page and thatr I need to get something else

or something like that

like when I used mozilla it would let me play

yahoo pool but the IE won't let me

I'd like to see this reanimated. That would be sweet. But I dunno how to fix the problem. I'm just thinkng out a loud.
