Yupp .. i know it suxx ... and still it is unconfirmed ... but i heared from a friend that February 8th issue of Rolling Stone magazine says it is scheduled for release in the summer !!!

So if it's gonna be April, the Official date should be released soon, just as the Album Name and the First Single

I think this meant LAST summer. This is because you said that this was a Feburary EIGHTth issue of Rolling Stone. They (Linkin Park) were originally to have the album released last summer but they kept delaying the release date.
