(The Sports Xchange) - New York Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia's 2014 season came to a close Friday when the Yankees announced that he will have surgery on his right knee. An arthroscopic debridement procedure is scheduled for next week, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said. The Yankees expect the veteran to be recovered in time for spring training next year. The Atlanta Braves released struggling second baseman Dan Uggla.
