March consumer prices up, reflecting higher energy prices

By MARTIN CRUTSINGER | AP Economics Writer

WASHINGTON -

Inflation rose again last month, reflecting big jumps in the cost of
energy and airline tickets.

And the forecast is for even bigger energy-related increases to come,
including the possibility of $4 per gallon gasoline by Memorial Day.

Those inflation pressures are occurring just as the economy seems to
be sinking into a recession, with consumers cutting back on spending
and the housing industry, where all the troubles started, sinking
further.

That was the somber news from a batch of economic reports released
Wednesday that depicted an economy still struggling with multiple
problems from a prolonged slump in housing, soaring energy prices, a
severe credit crisis and rising unemployment.

Put a Democrat majority in Congress, and the economy goes south.

I want to see it reach $5.00 a gallon, and shut this country down.

Let's TEST your theory.

2001-2005 Republican majority: Economy suffering because of 9/11, Katrina,
Afghanistan and Iraq. Avoiding recession, holding its own, struggling.

2006-2008 Democrat majority: Economy TANKS. Highest gas prices EVER,
Highest food prices EVER. WORST Ratings EVER. LOWEST Satisfaction EVER.
ACTUAL RECESSION Announced.

2006-2008 Terrorist Attacks: 0
2006-2008 Natural Disasters: 0
2006-2008 Additional Wars: 0

Your Theory PASSES the test!

Merely the presence of Democrats in Congress DESTROYS America!
