Don Mattingly, dumped by the Los Angeles Dodgers after another playoff flop, was snapped up on Thursday by the Miami Marlins, inking a four-year deal to manage the Major League Baseball team. The Mattingly move came on the same day that the Marlins announced they were sacking general manager Dan Jennings -- who had moved from the front office to take over as manager in may after Mike Redmond was let go. Mattingly guided the Dodgers to the National League West division title for the third time in five seasons, but he and the club parted ways after Los Angeles fell to the New York Mets in the National League Division Series.
