Metallica or Iron Maiden?

I like Metallica much better, but I like Iron Maiden also, though metallica's one of my favorite bands and IM isn't. But the way they play their music is compariable, so I decided to make this thread/poll. What do you all think?

how can you compare or choose any of them? they are both legends!

Well, I can compare them because whereas I listen and enjoy Iron Maiden's music, I am a much, much bigger Metallica fan, and I like their music better than iron maiden's. That's imo, so dont argue with me and say im stupid or shit like that because i know the vets here always like to fuck around with the newbs

Lol, thanks for thinking im not a newb but i really am =( anyways so im not offtopic, i also think theyre both legends. Metallica's lyrics are a little better imo, colder but better, and James sounds better than the Iron maiden lead singer, also all just imo

I voted for Metallica. There are alot of songs by Metallica I like. Enter Sandman is one of my favorite songs of all time.

But I've only heard a couple Iron Maiden songs and they were okay. Metallica definately gets my vote.

Enter Sandman is a great song, I love it when James sings "Sleep with one eye open... Gripping your pillow tightly" And I love the chorus "Exit light..Enter night! take my hand... We're off to NeverNever land!" awesome song. And i love unforgiven II, master of puppets, seek and destroy, for whom the bell tolls, harvester of sorrow, mechanix, memory remains, wherever i may roam, and some new songs, invisible kid, frantic, st.anger, all great, great songs, metallica out-matches iron maiden by 100 miles.

metallica- now the world is gone i'm just one, so please god help me.

I like Bruce Dickinson's attitude and character, just how he acts, but that doesn't save IM's music. I'm not saying they suck, I'm just not a big fan.

 

Metallica. Need I say more? No matter who's been on the band, they've always been brilliant, always just a bunch of geniouses. Lars, Cliff, James, Rob, Jason, Dave, Kirk, doesn't matter. Fade to Black, MoP, One, NEM, Unforgiven, all timeless classics,and I could keep on counting.

Yeah, they have countless hits, and Jame's voice is awesome. Lars, the drummer rocks the world also! He is awesome, I have never heard a better drummer, perhaps the Slipknot's drummer, but besides him, no one can compete with Lars. Not even Rob Bourdon.

Defintely Metallica.

Woot! Go Metallica! I just bought their "Some Kind Of Monster" DVD a few days ago. It rules.

it's a documentary about their problems, around the time when jason left the band and until James went to rehab and they did St. Anger

Yeah, my brother told me all about James going to rehab since he was addicted to drugs. Most people dont like St.Anger, but I thought it had some good songs, Invisible Kid, Frantic, St.Anger, Shoot me Again, those are some great songs. Do you have any idea if they're ever going to make another album, or are they done?

I like a few songs off of it, like Frantic and St.Anger.

 

I like the concept of them returning somewhat back to the trash metal they started with, but they kinda didn't do it well enough, they did they right thing IMO, but the songs just weren't good enough.

 

Of course they'll make more albums, just not anytime soon I think.

Like when they played in Iceland last year, they promised they would visit again, and sooner than 22 years (which passed before they visited)

maybe they won't make more albums, I don't know, but they will tour for sure.

Yeah, they tour all the time, and they go on tour with Linkin park in Projekt Revolution i think. Metallica I think right now, is the greatest band in rock history. But I think Linkin park one day will make a legacy as great as Metallica's.

Yeah, a lot of people just don't like Metallica for their deathly style of music, and a lot of people don't like iron maiden because their lead singer imo isn't good at singing. Also, people don't like them because sometimes they speak so coldly and metallicallyish, you dont understand what theyre saying.
