New York Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson was named as the 2016 winner of the Roberto Clemente Award given to a Major League Baseball player for his charitable work. The award is named for a former Pittsburgh Pirates star who was killed delivering relief supplies to earthquake victims in Nicaragua. "Curtis Granderson is an outstanding ambassador for our game and a positive role model for kids," Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred said on Friday.
