Here we go, again. :(

My neighbor's wife beat him over the head with a rolling pin so we should outlaw rolling pins? ;)

The first thing I read was

A gun control expert says the administration can help control drug violence in Mexico by enforcing already existing laws.
Didn't see anything about wanting to ban anything.

Nope, not yet. <pullling knee back from knee-jerk reaction> But there will be attempts.

Federal officials say about 90 percent of guns seized in Mexican organized crimes came from the U.S.

How does less government actually achieve that??
Make drug sales just like alcohol sales. Takes a lot less government than building prisons and hiring law officers and crowding our court system. Don't see the BUdweiser and Miller people shooting each other.

But you see an awful lot of their "users" beating the **** out of each other on a Friday or Saturday night.

I agree, legalize the drugs... you'll get your first time thrill seekers which will increase the demand at first, but it will all die down like alcohol did but be less of a problem.

I am beginning to think it would be in Mexico and Columbia's best interest to legalize drugs regardless of what the US thinks about it.

That's not less government, just different. It would still take a lot of government involvement to regulate those drugs, tax them, etc.

I am SO for legalizing drugs and prostitution.

Tax the **** out of it, too! Our national deficit would be gone in a year!

I think it needs to be in a controlled environment as well.....Amsterdam style.

For the record, I'd REALLY like to go to Amsterdam. Haha! ;)
