Microsoft Essentials window pops up when the PC is rebooted

How do I stop the Essentials window from poping up when the PC is rebooted? I had to rebuild my PC after Microsoft Essentials let a virus in. After rebuilding, I notice that the Microsoft Essentials window keeps popping up every time I reboot the laptop. Since I reboot this often, this is very annoying and I do not want it to do that. I did a complete scan, thinking that it was warning me that I needed a scan and it sill does it. I even turned off the scan schedule. What do I do?
