Guest feiAngel
I have a legitimate purchased version of Microsoft Office Professional 2010 installed on my PC and also previously installed on my laptop which has since ceased to be more than a paperweight. I now have a new HP laptop, which came with Windows 7 pre-installed and in the program list under the start button is a small Office 2010 icon. When I click this icon a window pops up with the following options: 1. I already purchased Office 2010 - Activate. 2. Go online to purchase Office 2010 - Purchase and 3. Use Office Started 2010 - Use. As I already had bought Office 2010, I chose the "Activate" option. I grabbed the box, duly typed in the Product Key, waited for it to be validated and it came up with the following message - The is not a valid Office Product key. I can assure you it was bought legitimately from a reputable company, worked fine on the 2 previous installs (PC and previous laptop) and is "licensed for non-commercial use on up to 3 Home PCs" Of course, I am trying to get my laptop sorted out over the weekend, reinstalling all the programs I had previously on the other laptop. I tried ringing the 13 20 58 number and it asked me to key in the first 6 digits of an "Installation Number". I have no idea what this is or where to find it and can't get hold of a live person on the phone until Monday on any of the numbers I have found. Is it as simple as I have to do a full install from my disk and then use this just to activate or what? Can someone please help me? Continue reading...
