Microsoft Security Essentials goes Orange constantly

Microsoft Security Essentials keeps going to orange mode only minutes after full scan. It's been happening for a week now. I do an update, then a full scan, and it only stays green for a few minutes. Quick scans only leave it orange still. This just began last week and continues no matter what I do. What's wrong?
