Microsoft Security Essentials turns orange for no reason?

I'm running Security Essentials Beta Version 4.0.1512.0. All of a sudden Security Essential's icon turns orange saying "You haven't run a scan on your PC for a while. This could put your PC at risk." I clicked the orange Scan Now button and scanned several times but it's still orange. Always have had "MS Antimalware" unchecked in CCleaner so i'm not sure why it's orange.
