Have had 4 terrible days. For no reason, the WinxpSP3 box, kept failing. from not validated, to missing dll to missing or corrupt registy, to MSE requiring an Update.
the computer would not go to safe mode, when it did come up would have 4 bit resolution and would keep crashing and rebooting.
Restore points said corrupted.
Then today I got it up and had the MSE thing again and also a Malwarebytes execute failure.
So I deleted Malware bytes. Then did an reinstall of MSE and an update with no problem
Now has been up for several hours w/o Malwarebytes and seems running fine. Got Back Java and Flash, movies play IE is fine, Mail works
Windows Explorer and Network are up.
So the question is this. I have MWB on 4 boxes, Win XP and Win7Home Premium without any issue. This is the only box that apparently won't run
now with MWB and it had run it for several years.
Can MWB do this much. And why only this box. Is there something I need to clean or remove to get it to run MSE scan is clean
Is there a substiture for Malware bytes.
I went and ordered a new system last night was so frustrated I gave up. But right now for 2+ hours seems to be running fine.
What do you think I am at a loss
