Mike's solo CD (from what I know)

Yes, my sis just told me that on MTV2, they said Mike would be coming out with a hip-hop CD. When, I don't know. But if ya all have info post it here.

honestly, i think it would really suck. i love mike shinoda but lp needs 2 step away from the rap n hip hip or whatevr n go back to rock... no more hip hop!!!

Supposedly, it's just a side project. But it's definately going to delay a new LP album, which I've been waiting for a long time now.

It'll add cred to LP among Hip Hop and Rap circles. There's no reason to think chester and the rest of the band can't get started on a new album.

Sounds like a cool thing, but I'm ready for a new LP album with all new songs.

Some sources say his solo album is being worked on, while others say that LP is back in LA working on the album Who knows? We'll just have to wait and see.

Well without Mike's input (or his full input) maybe they aren't as good. He is The Glue.

yeah linkinpark.com says they are working on a new album. If they saty together and mike makes his own album more power to him but they should stay together they have something to good.

I think this is going to be a good thing because I've always wanted rap fans to get into Linkin Park. Most people would probably say Mike's new album sucks, because Mike's style of rap isn't gangsta-related. But I like Mike's rap style because it's different from the regular rap you always hear on TV.

Yeah, some of his songs better have rock beats like Step Up.

Well, I've also heard, ther WILL STILL be a Linkin Park CD to come too. And I think'd it be pretty cool, I mean, for huge hip-hop fans. Also to point it out, it's his life, he can do what he wants. I't not like "OH THIS SUX! Mike has a CD! ON HIS ON! Now LP is over! GONE! BYE!" Don't panic, guys.

Yeah, I know. I don't know why people freak out about the band splitting up once the news comes up about Chester and Mike going solo. If the band is going to break up, then you would know cause it would tell you on the news. If it doesn't mention anything about the band splitting up, then it won't happen.

Ok. Mike is working with Black Thought on his solo album which I hear he's in the studio now. On a side note, I also heard Chester is doing something with DJ ZTrip.

I don't think solo projects are a bad idea by any extreme. If anything I think they might actually help LP to some degree. I can't think it would be easy trying to continually come up with lyrics and beats etc, they might need some outside influences to trigger creative juices again, who knows? Having said that, as long as they remain happy and productive in LP more power to them, staying together, like a marriage, for the wrong reasons will kill them anyway, and I wouldn't wanna see that happen.

I d/l Dj Z-trip and Chas' 'Walking Dead' yesterday and I have to say it totally rocks. I love it. If Mike's side project is as good I'm eagerly awaiting its release, too. Go boys, go! Keep expanding your horizons and my mind... I'm lovin it! :thumbsup:

ok these guys work really hard!.. they came out with 3 CD's this past year.. and some of you are waiting for just a new CD.. that bull.. i mean seriously its hard to write songs and produce them sometimes they have to rewrite the songs... you can't just expect them to write and sell it.. also Hip hop has ALWAYS been in the music.. so sit down and listen to your cd's cuz its there.. all because he is working on a solo album doesn't mean he is leaving LP.. so chill out.. cuz THE GLUE aka MIKE will always be with LP... i support them no matter what they do.. cuz i know its gonna be good.. no it'll be great... plus with Mike making a solo album would attract more people to LP.. cuz then they would see that its not just metal its rap and metal.. so what ever they do wether its just a solo album, LP album, or both.. im gonna support it and buy cuz no matter what.. they really f*ckin ROCK...
