well if want to spend a lot of money and want a lot of songs, definately get an iPod. I didn't really want a lot of songs so i got a RCA Lyra... it holds about 60 songs, but you can add on with memory cards.

now i regret it because i want a iPod, not that i have the money anyway lol.

Apple has the iPod Nano, but it doesn't hold as much songs, but cost less than an iPod, and it way smaller.

also Dell (dell.com) has some MP3 players. they look like iPods kinda. I think they look the coolest. pretty expensive though.

Any idea how much space in mb or gb they have?

And the thing with iPods is that they cost about twice as much where I live, as in for ex. America.

o_O ;; dang. I live in USA. well here's some info..

RCA Lyra (black): 256 MB (hold about 60 songs, can add on with SD memory cards) about $80 where i live.

iPod:

20 GB, about $300 where i live

60 GB (cost more)

iPod Nano:

2 GB

4 GB (cost more)

well for Dell's mp3 players, there a lot. just go to Dell.com and search for them.

Thanks for that dude

I only need like 4 GB, so I'll probly go for the iPod nano with 4 GB,

that is to say if it's sold around here lol

Okay, I found this iPod mini, which I can get dutyfree, with 4 GB, and that one costs exactly 287 US dollars. A lot, but the best I can get, as to price n all.

Oh and, how do you go about getting mp3 onto that? Does it work with every type of computer?

All mp3 players should come with software which will allow you to transfer music into it. iPods work exclusively with iTunes or you can also use WinAmp but a plugin is needed for it, I don't remember the name of it but if you need it PM me.

iPods are good for the cool factor. But if you want functionality, might I suggest, the iRiver. You can view pictures on it, and it comes with an integrated FM radio tuner.

with my MP3 player, it just came with a USB cord that plugs into the player, and into the USB port of the computer. I upload my CD's (or download), and just drag them into the mp3 player drive.

but i have no idea if the iPod is the same way. I guess guess not since what SK said.

Alright.

I'll talk to you, cause I don't know a thing about this iTunes, nor plugins, that's my problem.

Don't think iRiver's within my reach unfortunately.

And thanks Ryan, I didn't know about how to connect to the computer either. But yeah iPod works differently I guess.

I would go with the new Mini iPod's. The one I have can hold over 1000 songs. It's a 4GB. Mine was 200 bucks.

They have I think 40 GB's for I belive around 300 or 400. Not sure.

I heard they came out with a new smaller iPod. Smaller than the Mini.

Yeah, you should be able to get them regular priced (plus shipping if they go there). I'd suggest iPod just because they have godo functioning and most every one I know who has one likes it a lot.

If u want a cheap mp3 player with decent stroage u can try the I-Shuffle

They are very stylish and come in 512MB or 1GB additions. The only downside is there is no LCD screen but they do have 8hr battery life, charges directly through USB and u can reserve space for files like school work :)
