mse compatibility with grub bootloader in a dual boot configuration

I have a Dell Inspiron 4100 laptop configured for booting either Windows XP (the original operating system on the machine) or another OS. Part of that configuration is a modification of the master boot record, MBR, to enable the use of a bootloader known as GRUB. GRUB presents the user a menu for OS selection at the time the machine is started up.

I have seen claims that MSE may identify the GRUB MBR modifications as evidence of malware and then automatically restore the MBR to a Microsoft standard, thereby disabling the dual boot configuration of the machine. I can easily imagine this happening, especially in early versions of MSE code.

My question is, "Should I be worried about MSE interfering with the dual boot configuration that uses GRUB in the MBR?" My hope is that recent versions of MSE accommodate the situation by recognizing the GRUB MBR for what it is, but I am inclined to stick with McAfee unless MSE is clearly confirmed to be compatible.
