Muirfield Golf Club, a British Open venue near Edinburgh, is on the threshold of a historic vote to allow women members. The result of a recent vote among members to allow women to become full members will be announced Thursday, at around 1000 GMT. Founded in 1744, the club policy to allow women members has been under review since the enactment of the Equality Act in 2010.
