I think the fuel line or tranny cooler line burst. Heard something pop and all of sudden i had somke and about a 8in to 10in ball of fire coming up thru the hole for the transfercase shifter . ****** thing is i have dropped 4grand into this truck in the last year and this was only the second time i've driven the truck more then a few miles from the house. I put the new tires on the truck only 2 weeks ago. Sucks my truck is gone but glad all i got was a couple of burns on the inside of my arm trying to put it out.

Needs whole new cab and front clip.. Fire was so hot it buckled the roof and back wall of the cab, the winshield melted, the aluminum in the steering colum melted. I've had a lot of bad luck with this truck and im tired of it. tried to kill me so know it has to go.Dont get me wrong ill miss this truck but Ill just focus my time restoring my bel air.

it was Christine. your lucky it didnt lock the doors trying to keep you inside, playing some four tops or something. that sucks man. so are the tires still good?

yes tires are still good. I think i can save the motor and tranny too will see when i cut the cab off.
