Network printer on Windows 7

I am trying to add a network printer (Samsung CLP-310) on my Windows 7 machine.
The printer is connected to a usb port on my host machine which is running Vista.
When I try to print, nothing happens and when I go into Ports, the Virtual USB001 is not one of my choices. The printer is showing up on a Local Port.
How do I get my Virtual printer port back and/or get this printer to work with Windows 7.
I have tried uninstalling the printer from the Host and reinstalling - nothing.
Also tried installing Printer from Windows 7 machine with disk - nothing
Tried new drivers from Samsung website - nothing.
This will just not communicate to that printer on the host.
When I run the Harware Wizard - it says there is nothing wrong with the printer.
