Kayla McKelvey, 25, pleaded guilty in April to a single charge of creating a false public alarm after making the threats on social media, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement. McKelvey was also sentenced to five years of probation and will be required to pay more than $82,000 in restitution among other conditions, the prosecutor's office said. Prosecutors said McKelvey was participating in a rally on racial issues on Nov. 17 and left the event early to post racist threats of violence on social media.
