Hi,
One of my laptops recently was infected with one of the following:
Trojan:win64/sirefef.B
Backdoor:Win32/Cybot.G
Trojan Downloader:Java/OpenConnections.PB
TrojanDownloader.Win32/Karagany.H
After removing it internet access was lost (wired & wirelesss). I updated the Microsoft Security Essentials definitions by downloading them using a working laptop and transfering the update and installing. This update found the other three infections.
The laptop is running on Vista and Security Essentials states that there is no threats. Could there still be a threat or has the infections changed the internet settings? My internet is working as normal on the uninfected computer.
Thanks
Ata
