Blaze
Phoenix wasn't on the back cover of Hybrid Theory, was he on Lp during that time anyways?
Hybrid Soldier
No, he was with the snax, they didnt really have a true bass player, but then he came back eventually.
Blaze
Yeah, I knew it would be something like that. Well I think that's sort of why the music in Meteora sounded better than in Hybrid theory (the music, not the lyrics) well telling by the way the sound in meteora was better than of hybrid theory's i feel i can be permitted to say phoenix is a great bassist. Hybrid Soldier
Also, they had progressed more as musicians, which can make for alot better music.
Blaze
^^ Yeah great point there. Now after two albums and much valued experiance gained, I think they will explode out in this new album and put away any talk of any other bands being the best this era and generation because LP is the band of this era. LInKin P RAnGER
But why he came back?
Hybrid Soldier
I think its because he found out that they were doing really good, and decided it would be better for him to be with them than the snax
LPGotLinkinPark
He was with them earlier and then quite. They had no bassist and went on tour for a year and a half. Afterwards he was invited back in LP (which he obviously did). He still did the stuffon Hybrid Theory, just not when they recorded in studio. LPGotLinkinPark
phoenix was not on the album hybrid theory at all' date=' brad did most of the bass, kyle was in the osc video just so they could have a bassist to show[/quote'] I mean he wrote some (or most I don't know) of it but didn't record it. I'm not sure if I'm right, but I think so. Quote rep me!! | xanga | add me on myspace
Hybrid Soldier
Im not sure about that, but it sounds correct
i_love_mike_shinoda2
I think Phoenix was there writing most of the bass parts, like they all wrote the songs and then got signed. And then when touring started, Phoenix went with Snax for about a year. Thats what I think. Stenners
Phoenix had already commited to a band before xero/hybrid theory/linkin park so he went on tour with them for a bit =D Quote Delete my account, the is no reason why it should be against standard procediure, do it do it do it. Or LPF Sessions 3 leaks before it's done and Spoilers will be posted for every film release. Not to mention periodic troll invasions.
Blaze
How do you prounounce Snax? do you prounounce it the way you would say "snacks"? and i dont agree with i love mike shinoda, phoenix and Lp didnt write all the songs together for Hybrid theory IMO because you could hear the different sound and rhythm in meteora with phoenix there
Hybrid Soldier
Yes, like "snacks" a band usually writes a song together, well atleast from my knowledge they do
Blaze
Yes they do, but I don't think Phoenix was in Linkin Park during Hybrid Theory, I think he left and came back about the time they were recording Meteora.
Vash_the_Stampede
He wasn't. He was with the Snax, as it's been said before. I have both Snax albums, I htink Phi sounds great with them, but better with LP. Quote Good bye, auf wiedersehen, adiós, sayonara Gone
Blaze
I don't know about Snax, but he sounds awesome with Linkin Park. I should listen to Snax sometime, just to check out Phoenix.
