Hello,
My family just acquired my grandfather's HP Pavilion a342n desktop after his passing. The computer apparently had a virus on it last year and Windows had to be reinstalled on it. This would be awesome, however, the person who reinstalled Windows on the computer (supposedly friend of my grandfather's) installed a copy of Windows XP Professional and the license key has apparently expired or isn't valid. Is there a way to get a new license key for this copy of Windows? As far as I'm aware, there are no system disks with the computer anymore. My parents want to use this computer to replace their own desktop (which is older and slower). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
