Office 10 HUP license error

I have used Office 2010 under the Home Use Program since early 2011. Recently I had a failed update of Symantec 360, after which Office stopped working. I now get the following error message: "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 Subscription cannot verify the license for this application." How can I correct this problem?
