Office 2010 OCT tool additional content configure shortcuts add arguments

I wanted to ask if anyone has added arguments under the add/modify shortcut entry. I am testing this now under the add/modify shortcut entry for Outlook 2010. Default settings for Outlook 2010 reading pane is set to on as it was in Office 2007. We do not want to disable this feature, but want it off giving our user the option to turn it on if they want.

The argument I am using is /nopreview and this works when I manually create an outlook shortcut with this switch to test and it works.

I then created a test MSP within the OCT for Office 2010 and under the Outlook 2010 shortcut I added the /nopreview. I then installed this on an existing machine with Office 2007. I made sure under my login that Outlook 2007 had the reading pane on.

After installing Office 2010 I opened Outlook 2010 and found that the reading pane was off. I am going to test this further, but wanted to see if anyone else has done this or if there are other suggestions.

Thanks,

Brit
