Office 2010 pre-loaded (not activated) and just purchased Professional Plus 2010

My machine came with Office 2010 preloaded and I have not activated it. I just purchased Office Professional Plus 2010 via the Home Use Program and want to know the best way to go about installing it so that I don't have two editions of Office taking up space on my hard drive... Faced with "download" button and product key - one that I assume wouldn't work on my preloaded standard Office 2010 copy- what do I do?
