Office Professional Plus- Outlook problem

I purchased Office Professional Plus 2010 and successfully down loaded Excel, Word and Power Point. Outlook would not open and I recived an error message "cannot open your default email folder, the information store could not be opened". Is there something on my end I need to do to load?
I have Windows 7 and 500gb.
