You think 80 degrees is hot?

Here in Florida a clear sunny day can get you well over 100 degrees and that combined with a very high humidity that you do not see in places like Arizona can make it feel like 120 degrees.

Very toasty... ;)

But we do not have to worry about blizzards and such, so I will gladly take the heat, lol. Besides, I have an AC business now so this is money making time.

I'm in Georgia and I live really close to the Chattahoochee and it gets hotter than a'hoochee koochee.

And yes... Florida sucks. Tim Tebow is a gayfer.

The trick is to know "when" to come for a visit, anyone comming to Florida in July or august deserves to get fried, lol.

Oh and remember that sunscreen and AC is your friend.

I wasn't talking about visiting. I was talking about living... it sucks so much that Florida has had more people leaving the state than arriving for the first time in documented history. It sucks so much that my subdivision is 75% vacant and is the most occupied in the complex.

It sucks so much that I'm blowing this pop stand and heading to the where the cool kids hang out and there's money to be made- Georgia :)

I drove through Gainsville about a week or so ago and thought about hunting your *** down, but it was late and I couldn't be bothered ;P

I have some friends that just moved down there last winter. They came back up here for the summer. He's got a job where he can do that so they're gonna try that for a few years (the winters there and summers here).

They rented a place on some island where it's easier to use jet skis to get to the mainland. That sounds to cool!

To not create the illusion of being dishonest, those articles had better be fair and balanced to show unemployment rates higher than they've ever been, crashing home values, illegal immigration issues, and have an emphasis on how much you better like working in the hospitality industry if you want to live here.

Our summer has been fabulous. Averaging around 79-83 degrees with relatively low humidity....perfect.

Hey, give me a heads up and I will gladly hang out with you. We do not agree on much but I don't take anything personal. I actually thought of your fella a couple months ago when I was riping out a bunch of carpeting and putting down hardwood floors (best thing I ever did) but I figured Tampa was too far to travel for just 5 rooms and a hallway..

Georgia is not that far away, you should come down when football starts and we can go catch a home game, I have a block of 8 seats on season tickets and my buddy gets the 8 above those every year and I can hook you two up if you want.

Most of the reason I believe people are leaving is this is a very service related State, everything feeds off of the colleges and the resorts and the economy has seriously slowed down the resorts. I don't mind though, my circles are still hanging in there so we will just have to wait and see how ;ong it takes the all-powerful Obama machine to fix everything for us :)

That wouldn't have been too far, but maybe from Detroit.... He's been in Detroit since Thanksgiving.

(Pretty sad when you think about all the trouble we went trough to move here for a better chance at surviving... but I've had a nice break from him and his craptastic attitude, while he got a nice dose of his mother, thus raising his appreciation for me - win/win!)

Sounds good for both of you, I know history is tough to live down, I hope you guys can find whatever you need to let that happen because it sounds like your still dealing with it, forgive me if I am wrong.

Anyway, you guys one year earlier would have done better, things were already sliding backward so that made starting out much more difficult. I do feel bad you guys came down to Florida just to be dissapointed, I hope Georgia works out well for you guys.

The history is only that his attitude is quite negative and condecending. The rest is just life... no forgiveness to you necessary... he, however has a lot to make up for. ;)

Ohhhh... there is probably more money to be made here in Georgia. Yet, I can't guarantee it.

Unemployment, plant closures, business closures run amock these days.

The cool kids live in a lovely hamlet nestled in the foothills, next to the might Hooch, and the Lake of Lanier. Cough cough, hint hint...
