Opening SD card opens media player isntead of showing the files

HI ALL can you help i am trying to put a download onto an SD card i have the info in my computer but when i double click to open it now goes to media player and says cant play because of a spm extension not there can you help me to get info to the SD card , info is from spektrum downloads for a dx8 rc controller. many thanks
