Opinion on new album

Whats ur opinion?

They sure set the bar high if it's going to be better...

 

But, honestly, everything they've done to date I've liked. That said, I don't see any reason why the new album won't be great.

Musicially wise it should be better and different. Lyrically, I can't say. Hopefully none of the lyrics will be watered down.

I don't know, in the past he produced for artists like RUN D.M.C., BEASTIE BOYS, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, AUDIOSLAVE, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SLIPKNOT, SHAKIRA and JAY-Z.

So his style is various, just like LINKIN PARK, I can't wait to hear the album.

I believe it will be a slight step down. Hybrid Theory was outstanding, and Meteora, while still one of my favorite albums ever, didn't top HT. It just doesn't seem likely that they could make another albums that compares to the first two.

 

But opinions will be different, some people will say it's better than the first two, and others will say it's not as good.

I'm not going to say that I'll suck or it'll be better. You never know what to expect & all you can do is just wait. I liked both CD's. I must admit that HT & Meteora were quite different in sounds, but it was still LP music. It'll probalby be different, but it'll still be LP. that's all that matters to me (lol) So I'm going to say that it'll be just as good.

I think it's gonna sound different and new, but it still has the same energy as the first 2 albums that fans won't be disappointed once they hear the new album. So I expect it to be good as HT and Meteora.

Does anyone actually know when it's coming out? Sorry if that was asked before.

IF they are going by what they said in the first place and going for a more organic sound it will be better as organic music sounds more passoinate then heavily produced, polished and layerd music which was the main flaw of Meteora.

I think it'll be 2nd best. I will always like HT the best, then this album, then Meteora. I don't think the sound on Meteora was that great....

Honestly I liked the layered polished sound becuase it gives a distinguished sound to it that establishes them as their own rock sound

 

but i think itll be better...i dont think hybrid theory was better than meteora...engery isnt always good it was a good albumn i love it but it sounded to new..as in like they were still finding their style through their music...there wasnt an established feel to it.

If all else fails, lets just hope the album is good enough to listen to.

I liked Hybrid Theory the most, lol. I liked the EP better, but I don't think that counts. I love Meteora, just not as much as the first, heh. I don't know though, this new album might revolutionalize the LP sound. Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin make a killer combo I think. I've got high hopes for this new album.

Seeing that Rick Rubin has worked with Rage Against The Machine and such, I hope their sound leans more toward that {guitar and bass wise}.

Just to piss people off I think the album is gunna rock becuase hybrid theory was a peice of shit and meteora was the corn in it.
